oddly enough i am only averse to buying puts as insurance against a stock i own....prefer to sell a covered call or the underlying if i fear a strong down trend....keeps with my "cash in" over "cash out" philosophy....

agree, i like cash coming in.

paul.....buy puts???

i prefer to short the stock. but there is none available, hence the only way is to buy put.

anybody likes td waterhouse? commission $ 12 online trade. you get what you pay for. i got them by default since they bought my previous #1 rated broker.
