actually when asked if he got paid when anyone used QCOM IPR, he avoided the question, as he didn;t want to say that QCOM has a royalty free cross lic wiht him and that IDC only has rights to spreading rates higher than 10 MHZ, which precludes it's widespread use in the cellular band and some of hte PCS bands.

In general, he played very dumb on any questions of substance.

I'm no gearhead but I saw the interview too. I thought he was being a bit disingenuous when asked if their CDMA patents will be as lucrative as QCOM's. He said "no". Also, when asked about the lawsuit with ERICY, part of his answer included a general "Well, we have yet to work out use of patents that some other companies have". No mention of QCOM, but I got a bad feeling from the guy. I'd not be an IDC long.
