*OT* By the way, anyone noticed that Ted Turner increased his net worth by about 3.5 Billion today (with another 3 Billion to come if AOL/Time Warner closes at $110 a share)..not too shabby...Hope it was a result of Ted giving the $1 billion away.....

P.S. My numbers are rough..I didn't do the exact calculation..no flaming please...

If by now Dell doesn't have a pretty good idea of what their numbers will be within days after a quarter ends, then that doesn't speak very highly of their management information systems. I would have thought they'd have a good estimate even before the quarter ended, so they could do something (e.g. buy in some shares or accelerate / hold back some shipments) if indicated.
