<Just my two cents> Thanks, Harry. As you have read, we are considering a scenario similar to yours, and also one in which Suzanne Jovin was still alive after the attack. If Suzanne was still alive when she broke-away or was removed from her attacker(s), we do not know if she was being pursued, and thus ran, or was not being pursued, and thus, in order to prolong her strength, didn't attempt to run. The position of her body causes some of us to believe she was not "tossed out" of a vehicle.

You may have not noticed that there are several statements regarding Suzanne not having struggled with her attacker(s). Additionally, because Suzanne Jovin did not have her wallet or a purse with her, the robbery motive is difficult to affirm or negate here. Based on the location of the stab wounds and the number of them in this instance (as differing from the situation you described) some of us are of the opinion that SJ knew her attacker.

Good point on the "fleece" jacket. ("fleecette" ? )

It certainly was terrible luck regarding the woman in front of your house. If you read the quotes from Mrs. Oxley, you likely could well-relate to them. An occurrence like that is tragic and difficult to process and "erase" from one's feelings and mind.
It is helpful to learn from you that, after being stabbed twice in the heart, the woman was still able to run about 100 yards.

On a lighter note, while I have not been to Oakland in 7 years, several people I know, and know of, have moved to the East Bay. I've been hearing that many positive steps are being taken in the greater Oakland {CA, for anyone unfamiliar) area regarding regentrification of commercial areas and residential neighborhoods.

Thanks again for your comments -- and compliments.

I think she wore a "polar-fleece" pullover. It's synthetic. No fur. Nor thick leather.

Yes!

Sadly, her murderers won't be found soon, but may turn up years from now when someone reports them talking about the murder.

If the police really wanted to, they could start asking some questions to some certain groups of people in the New Haven area about such things. Problem is, the media would find out about this and then the "hard" questions will be raised about if they are so sure Jim did it then why the "sudden" change of heart? IMO, once someone in law enforcement starts down this path they'll find the real killers mighty quick.
