don't spam gloom and doom without adequate documentation as to brokerage and name. i have heard nothing approaching that level of severity and can't see ag knowingly crashing the markets. your analyst if real either needs a muzzle or is an old time value player and a disgruntled one at that

That they were waiting until Y2K and now are going to crack down.

Crack down? are those the words she used? It seems a bit too strong.
Stock prices going up is not a crime - or is it? I think this is a
bit of a over reaction (just like the bond rates).

Of course, I am biased as I have stocks and no bonds :-)

Sounds kind of alarmist to me Jill, 'crack down hard'.

I have my doubts, in the previous year the fed was successful in maintaining optimum conditions for this bull market to continue with minimal inflammation. So there is no reason to think that they would change their tact and go for half a point rather than their customary .25 move.

All previous 'FIRE"!, 'FIRE'! calls in the previous year have been handled well by the market.

And more specifically regarding qcom, despite being disappointed with the movement in price, I am calmed with the relatively small volume.

Regards

Jill - In 1987 Mr G put up interest rates twice at .5% each time. Very very quickly we had the 1987 Oct crash. I don't think he wants to do a repeat performance.

There are always people who reakon that the World is about to end. I have been like that at times. I don't think the Fed works like that and I don't think one man takes the decision. The American economy affects everyone in the US ( not to mention everywhere else) and I think the Fed doesn't act in a rash way when the entire Country's livelyhood is at stake.

Gently is the way especially when as now the markets are nervous and volatile.

Best regards,

L
