Isn't dung and NDX volatile? Plus or minus 3-4% every day.

I think that 98% or so of the total earnings of the Nasdaq Comp companies comes from the NDX companies. The remaining Nasdaq Comp companies then add a negative earnings of the same order. So the P/E of the NDX is about 100 and the P/E of the Nasdaq Comp is about 400 or so. If you think the NDX is bad, the Nasdaq Comp is a shocker!
