Thanks, Robert - great post. Does anybody out there expect the IPO announcement to come with the 4Q earnings announcement? Or am I being too optimistic??

Dear Robert S. Sometimes quick and dirty is the best way. Most numbers are subjective anyway. As an old auditor I can tell you the BEST way of validating a concept is to do it by using outside forces. You seem to have done that with your calculations, congrats. JDN

FWIW, First Boston estimates that revenue in the GC will grow from $100 million in 1999 to approx $2.4 billion in 2005 -- 60% CAGR. The total market at that point is projected by Forrester reseach to be approx. $25 billion.

Where did you get $540 million in revenue?

mmeggs

P.S. Great thread.
