Mike and all,

***This is completely off topic***

Today I started a thread on a company that I've owned a little stake in for years. The company is involved in the buying, selling and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines and aircraft parts. They also do a little manufacturing of air cargo loading and handling systems. It's a well-established company and last year they had sales over $900 M and EPS of $1.49. Its name is AAR Corp and it trades on the NYSE under AIR. It's easy to find because it's always first in the WSJ's list.

I'm far from an expert on this company and have held it because of its meager valuation and the fact that the air transport industry has steadily grown over the past few decades. If my memory serves, air passenger travel grows about 5 or 6% a year. Air cargo is also a steady grower.

Anyway, yesterday the stock was selling at about $18 or 12 times trailing earnings. Last night after the close they announced a joint effort with SITA of Geneva to start an e-commerce business to auction and sell aircraft parts. These two seem like an ideal pair to exploit the business, which is presently around $52 Billion according to the press release.

I'm not much for hype and feel kind of lost in all this. If anyone is interested in looking at this and giving me their opinion, I would be obliged. Sorry that as I have written this, the stock continues to jump and is now up $4 on the day. It was up less than $2 when I started the thread whose link is below:
