Ray, you may want to snoop them out as to what they are doing in the area of dynamically defined lambda spacings, as opposed to the static 100/200 GHz grid spacings you mentioned. The latter (static) are currently used in ITU "grids," which are the evenly spaced spectrum allocation specifications used by optical element manufacturers, such as DWDMs and optical switches. Frank
