John,
I think you're right to recommend Innovator's Dilemma for reading, but you neglected to mention how dry it is. Moore's books were more readable to this non-business, non-techie than I am finding Christensen's book to be. I am presently crawling thru Chapter 4. Everytime I pick it up at night to read, I fall asleep. Not so with The Gorilla Game, in which I stayed awake into the night, riveted to my pajamas. <g>

John,

I think it's more than appropriate to read anything by Christensen. I will read his book one day in retirement. The reason I haven't done so already is because I've read so much about his book that I don't expect to find a lot of new information once I go to the source. One should read his book if for no other reason than the fact that the executive management teams of companies we invest in read his book.
