More Best Buy from Yahoo... I saw my first rambus by: BUMPSTEER 1/12/00 10:39 am Msg: 35770 of 35773 Well I guess it is for real now, my local bestbuy has HP with rambus inside. The sales manager said he has sold 41 units in the last three days of the 70 units he received. One of the major turning points I was waiting for was to see rambus units in stock at the major retailers. Now we should be going up.

<Our tests showed that you can forget about running Windows 2000 Professional on anything less than a Pentium Pro desktop with 128MB of RAM. And even on those systems, performance is sluggish. The operating system performs best on desktop and notebook systems with Pentium IIs or Pentium IIIs with 128MB of RAM. Increasing memory capacity beyond 128MB yielded negligible performance improvements in tests.> What about the very last line? Why would this help Rambus? Pat
