I don't think either company will go broke selling microprocessors, but then again I don't think halcyon days are ahead for either.

I don't disagree with your view but when AMD was trading at $17 to 19, there was incredible upside potential that is being realized as I type this post. And probably won't be seen again. I suspect AMD will go now to $50.

That's what made AMD an amazing buy a couple of months. Yes, there was risk but it was calculable risk with the Athlon looking really good.

Greater fool, Well if they get the yield up at .18 and Via makes a bunch and AMD makes a bunch, the price will certainly fall. So AMD is getting it's dibs on share before Intel can solve the problems.
