Hi, E. I will state publicly that if talking about people we are ignoring is provocative, I don't recall ever discussing any particular individual. By that I mean, I don't think I said something like, "I have John Smith on Ignore, but let me tell you, he's a no-good low-down mangy yellow dog." If saying, "I have you on Ignore, I can't read what you're saying, and I am happy about that" is rude, then I won't say it anymore.

I haven't read what Edwarda said, or what anyone else that I have on Ignore said. That's what Ignore is for. The fact that they felt compelled to follow us, and make comments about us demonstrates the reason I have them on Ignore, and will continue to do so.

As for Nihil, he was suspended, as the thread header says, for ten days, but started some threads, apparently thinking it was a loophole. Most of the threads he started were eradicated, but one was left. X restarted this one, in the hopes that we could get away from the people who followed us here, and followed us to a newer iteration, as well.

Nihil is, or was, able to receive PMs, so I PMd him my email address, and he emailed me that he had been permanentely banned. I emailed him back and asked if we could be allowed to start a petition to have him reinstated, and also if I could pass his email address on to others. That was more than 24 hours ago, and he hasn't responded yet.

I should caution you that among Nihil's offenses were posts which were derogatory of SIBob, himself.

I don't think SIBob wants to hear from any Feelies or about Feelies, or indeed be reminded that there IS a Feelies.
What used to be a thread with class and humor and creativity, where the members included many who had met the original SI creators and felt good about their contribution to SI and its growing popularity, is now a caricature, a thread to be laughed at, if it's read at all.

I too feel nihil had a great deal to offer- he just was fed up and exploded, I guess. I didn't agree with his explosion or the choice of recipients, but I sure know the pressure that he felt.

I would only hope that some separation can be achieved now between the groups. I see no reason to interact, though it seems some can't resist. MAybe with some space, we can get nihil's suspension revisited. I just think, right now, Bob has had enough.

GERARD MANLEY HOPKINS
NO WORST, THERE IS NONE

1 No worst, there is none. Pitched past pitch of grief,
2 More pangs will, schooled at forepangs, wilder wring.
3 Comforter, where, where is your comforting?
4 Mary, mother of us, where is your relief?
5 My cries heave, herds-long; huddle in a main, a chief{\-}
6 Woe, w{'o}rld-sorrow; on an {'a}ge-old {'a}nvil w{'i}nce and s{'i}ng --
7 Then lull, then leave off. Fury had shrieked "No ling-
8 Ering! Let me be fell: force I must be brief."

9 O the mind, mind has mountains; cliffs of fall
10 Frightful, sheer, no-man-fathomed. Hold them cheap
11 May who ne'er hung there. Nor does long our small
12 Durance deal with that steep or deep. Here! creep,
13 Wretch, under a comfort serves in a whirlwind: all
14 Life death does end and each day dies with sleep.

Nice to see you back! I've been missing you. Maybe we've just been in different places recently.

SI was afraid when they instituted the Ignore feature that it would get abused. They were afraid of the "ha ha, I've Ignored you, nyah nyah" type messages. They were right. Those messages have been floating around. Too bad some people aren't mature enough just to ignore people and leave it at that without feeling the need to publicly post it. But they aren't.

I think Edwarda and George actually did some good by bringing this whole thing out into the open and showing SI that their original fears were correct.
