I agree with your analysis. I have noticed quite a few large blocks on the bid, 200-500K, as we approached the $64 level. That told me that we were nearing a bottom. I see $66-68 at the highest short term.

Sabre!

Rob S. & impristine

Rob S, you've been paying attention. The TA's started deteorating several weeks ago and the price was going slowly south even though we are headed into earnings announcement which is always great for AOL, particularly last qtr. I checked Thomsoninvest yesterday and it appeared there was major buying going on. I checked it again today and it appears there was even more buying going on. Check it yourself.

I also checked AOL's price movement frequently today and early on as it dropped to 57 there was super heavy buying going on to push it back above 60. Each time during the remainder of the day, it fell below 60, it was immediately pumped back over 60. Somebody put props under AOL today. obvious as hell.

Impristine, you said this is all options related. In your opinion, was the price artificially driven down to facilitate the merger price range? And is it being controlled for some purpose at just above 60? If so, for what purpose?

AOL is scheduled to announce earnings on the 19, 2 full trading days before options expiration. What's your opinion on how this is playing out and where do you think the price will go after expiration? I think someone is playing the biggest game in the last 100 years.
