I am curious what the Escape Clause is,,,
Or is this all a BIG ... 'Jokes on You'...Trial Balloon.

<edit-snip>..."High Five! .... Boy! (Ted-Steve)...... We Really Squashed those LEAP/Call Owners!"</edit-snip>

I may not be the one to answer many of your questions - I have not been following AOL except for the TA and more recently watching the level II closely. <Somebody put props under AOL today.> I noticed that too: as it approached around 60 the volume on the NYS bid was too large to fit the column on my screen. They were absorbing a lot of shares at that level. That is about where some late sellers were panicing. The candlesticks showed a hammer down formation for several 3 minute segments (indicative of panicky market order selling punched down the price but it quickly bounced back). One could guess a lot of reasons for this - like the specialist soaking up shares. But how can you know?

I'm not going to spend much time trying to understand the deeper meaning of tea leaves or AOL media mogul strategies. AOL will tower supreme and take over the world of boob tube idiots for all I care! ; ^).

AOL is responding as we thought it might . . . now challenging the day's high's. It's just a guess, but I think it will move up to around 64 today intraday. I've been quickly trading in and out for nice gains all morning. Gotta get back to the game.
