Richard, I am not sure what it is you are talking about. If those beads where indeed a type of ion exchange substrate, you surely would not see the Rh coating it outside (the exchange occurs within the pores and the Rh is in ionic not metallic form). Thus my conclusion that "something was lost in the translation". As for nothing having changed, the same vats outside, the same trailer for office and the same metallic (hangar) where they have the furnaces. The visitor would have been more impressed by the fracas of the big ball mill, if it was operational than by the plastic beads. My guess is nothing was particularly "operational" at the time of his visit, and if they are indeed "improving the process", by gosh, this onion has so many "layers" an Rh atom would envy the number of its shells.
