I spoke to two of the tech support personnel at length today and can contribute the following.

There are primarily only three problems:

1) New website having compatability problems with Netscape 4.7 (although works fine with 4.6 which I use). This problem is generating over 70% of all tech support contacts (both telephone and email).

2) The acquisition by LCOS and personnel transition issues, coupled with the parabolic increase in support contacts (from the new site and the Y2K issues) is causing critical shortages in tech support personnel. Having owned and managed a small chain of 6 franchise automotive service centers, qualified technical personnel are difficult to recruit and train. Having spoken to management, I am convinced that every possible effort is being made on that front. The number of tech support contacts is phenomenal!

3) Infrastructure build up is currently underway. Gibbons (when he worked there), Paul, and others have posted of the additional server farms which are being added as well as the doubling of their data "pipe size". This should address the queuing problems as well as the issues with Level 2, Island Book, and options quote quality.

If anyone else hears anything new, please post it to keep us all up to speed. By the way, if any of you have not tried Q-Link, you should give it a spin. It is awesome!
