What if anything does this have to do with ccur:

PowerTV, which quietly
added 1 mil. users of its
set-top operating system in
'99, is shining up a
long-planned IPO?-one part of
a plan to distance itself from
its current owner,
Scientific-Atlanta, so it can
extend its wares into the
set-tops of competitors.
Time Warner, as S-A?s
biggest customer, also is
PowerTV?s biggest taker.
We?ve been tracking the
development in our monthly
Interactive Television letter;
this morning, CNET picked up
on the possibility with word
that IPO talks are
accelerating.
PowerTV sorely needs a
clear path into other set-tops,
if it wants to compete more
vigorously with Microsoft?s
WinCE. Plus, the ITV sector
remains red-hot in Wall Street
valuation; our ?big 7? list tallied
more than $30 bil. in equity
cap on 1/12.
