Rather odd drop at the close. Will happily add my support Tuesday at 29--I re-analyzed this stock and it is still quite reasonably priced.

A past student of mine with a MS in computer science who worked (as a programmer) for Motorola and now a programmer for CommerceOne asked me recently:

Q: Why do you like AMKR so much?

A: Why not?

Q: AMKR is just in the chip packaging business, isn't it?

A: So?

Q: How much they can make from packing other people's products with carton boxes?

?????

This is a true story and my personal experience. Never a make-up story.

Amkor and the industry may have a lot work to do to educate the public, the investors, and Wall Street as well. This may also partly explain why TSM has a $80 billion market capitalization while AMKR is only about $3 billion with similar revenue.
