I spoke with a regional sales rep today as I am shopping for a new high-end business PC (light CAD). When I mentioned pending price drops he said he wasn't aware of them (odd?) but that since Pionex was AMD's largest OEM they would be able to pass on any reductions. The system options on the desktop line were all high-end (SCSI, 96MB 3DLabs Oxygen, etc.)

Since I hadn't heard of Pionex until it was noted on this thread, this makes me wonder about who is selling corporate computer systems.

Maybe it's the ONLY AthWIPE Workstation.

Notice they didn't say it was the FASTEST 800 MHz Workstation !

Too bad it wasn't VALinux that used the Spry AthWIPEY - you could have used the "POP" that would have given VALinux !
