Ted,

<I think every analyst from the western world was participating and they all loved Intel's earnings except D. Peck.>

I think there were a few others who didn't congratulate. IMHO, all the folks who upgraded in the last couple of weeks did and other did not. Anyone hearing replays will probably confirm this.

I think anyone who saw IABG year to year growth would not feel not so good about it. Flat to down is an ugly place to be when unit volumes went up about 20% this year.

Chuck

ted - <I could not understand why it is taking Intel so long to convert to .18 technology....they said the migration over will be finished at the end of this year.

Any comments as to why so long?>

This is a normal ramp rate ted. In fact, Intel wants it to be the fastest it's ever done.

That's why it's called a ramp, not a spigot.

It takes time to convert fabs.

It also takes time to bring new capacity on line.

Did you read the press coverage of Splinter commenting on equipment lead times in Pebble Beach this week, where he was essentially saying, "Speed it up!"?
