An answer to Bill Gate's 1999 question
Howdy Carolyn, I've been try to figure out just what visionary thoughts (future products) Bill is having. I spent much of this past year when daydreaming, trying to answer a question that the Bill had put in my head. Bill didn't have an answer so I spent a lot of time trying to find one.
Bill stated that he (or we) was not really sure what the internet really is. When he made the statement, I was not sure of the answer myself. Now I am sure I know. The internet is the collective conscious of mankind. That is the answer to that question, I'm sure.
Now to this year's question. What visionary thoughts (products) could Mr. Gates be up to?
Perhaps self-diagnostic and repair software. Perhaps "wireless software", perhaps a new wireless technology that would allow software to be changed from remote locations. I know that sounds crazy but so did going to the moon, "it can't be done" is what they said about going to the moon.
My observation is that mankind does what ever he dreams up. Capt. Kirk had a palmtop device that was a wireless palm top device. The ship's computers held the collective conscious of mankind (the internet).
These are visionary times we live in. If there is one guy in the world who I'd like to hang out with for a day and swap thoughts with, it would be Mr. Gates. This year's question is as good as last year's. "What is Bill thinking, doing?", what a great question.
