Yahooo!!! Ahem. Those of you watching AICX are probably enjoying a ride so far reserved for ARIA/ARIAW holders to date. +76% on the day. Haven't gone looking for news, there may be none, but would not be surprised by a munch. DAK: Sweet!!!!!! What's that make the Beta of your portfolio?? <G> Yeah, its been fun ot see the underdogs coming on strong. This kind of action makes the VC's return your calls if you work in biotech so I'm all for it. I do believe we are at the start of a biotech come-back. Lots of pipeline will keep good news, investment and sales money flowing. I have to say I have not even watched the Dow or other indicies so I don't know for sure if its up or down over the preceding 3 months. So I haven't figured the Beta, but suspect that over a short period it is probably a big number in absolute terms but could well be negative if the indices have gone down. Its such a short market aberation though, you couldn't effectively trade on it. Not like this happens every year. But that's also why I've gone to much higher percentage options in my portfolio because the beta isn't fully reflected in some of the prices imo. Some will get added to Small Wonders just for fun, too. The one that got away: Remember when I was looking at LJLB and it shot up to 8 bucks so we didn't add it to LTAB? Take a look today. New H&Q inspired highs of 12-13. I think this would have been a 4-5 bagger or more if we'd bought for LTAB in what, 2-3 weeks? Nice. Luckily I bought some for my IRA before the run up. I like Lev, known him a long time, glad to see it come back. Related topic, bought Lynx this a.m. on sympathy. Seems like it worked. Talked about starting a new thread for the 2-10 buck biotechs. Need a name. Any ideas? RWR
