Stitch, the whole B2B story has the market bubbling with excitement, but we shall also see the companies that employ it turning out to be great winners and ones that don't struggle.

My question is from your view point, do you see any player in the disk industry being more aggressive in employing these technologies and do you think it will make as much difference as pundits think?

Imagine another story. GM is trying to develop an Internet strategy whereby they will let a customer configure a car and place an order to be picked up at any near by dealer. The whole process from click to delivery is suppose to be 10 days. Eventually, they could reduce inventory and to stretch imagination even further they could go into a build to order mode. I'll believe that when I see it, but clearly there is a ton more efficiency to ring out of all the processes from supply, storage, time to market and distribution.

It will all work only when you have a more cooperative world where suppliers,OEM's and distribution get aligned for the greater good for all. Won't it?

Regards,

Mark

PS Did I mention among all the new MP3 devices on display at CES, was one that stored 82 hours of music, or over 100 CD's on a 4.86 gig hard drive? It used a laptop drive with a flash buffer that meant it only had to fire up the drive occasionally to reload the buffer. So, battery consuption was pretty low and it wasn't as shock sensitive as if it were constantly running off the drive. Cost was around $800.
