Eric L: Just read that WAP is considered "temporary" or a "short term solution" or an "interim technology" by some. Why? Puzzled.

If there is any truth to this, is Nokia leaning on a weak reed - WAP?

One of the concerns seems to be centered on that WAP now uses HDML which must be redone to HTML for internet usage. But isn't there a proposal to revise WAP to HTML?

Must admit confusion here.

Can you Eric or anyone else who is WAP savvy clarify?
