>Completely insignificant. No correlation whatsoever???

So those daily morning gaps higher on stocks reported each morning on CNBC after a new brokerage house initiates coverage doesn't really happen?

Here is an example

This market today is based on Momentum not Reality, (a.k.a. a MANIA) and has been that way, for the last 6000 points!

The premise behind the Momentum Ratings is simple: the more analysts that cover a stock (within the past 90 days), the more clients that will follow their recommendations. The more clients in any single stock, the more money fueling that issue's advance.
Taking this theory further, if only two analysts have a "buy" recommendation on a stock, that is not nearly as bullish as 15 analysts with a "buy" rating simply because there is not nearly as much money, and therefore, momentum behind the issue.
