ted - <It seems to me you need to be worrying more about getting Intel's yields up so that Intel can satisfy its customers and meet their product needs. JMHO>

Although until yields are 100%, there is always a yield issue, what Intel needs to do is bring capacity online, which it is doing.

Ted, <What I heard Sanders say in the CC is that the absolute earliest any shipments could start was Q2 but that volume shipment would begin in the 2nd H, 2000.>

I originally expected volume shipments to begin in Q2 2000. Either I misinterpreted what Sanders said, or AMD slipped and Sanders is pulling a fast one on us. Either way, it seems volumes from Dresden are coming later than I thought.

<It seems to me you need to be worrying more about getting Intel's yields up so that Intel can satisfy its customers and meet their product needs.>

Yields? What's that? 8^o (I'm not a process guy, if you haven't noticed.)

By the way, the first project I worked on hasn't even been released yet. And even when it is released, I can assure you that yields will be one of the lesser concerns.
