Buck, I agree that being political was a bit out of line and I apologize to DJB and others. In reality, this thread is nothing without Tim and as long as he is away nothing is OT so I'll continue. whyretire thinks that nobody on SI should use encryption. Does he think we are up to some deviant behavior and wants to be able to check up on us, or does he just think it's unfair unless everybody has the same opportunities as everyone else whether they deserve it or not. The connection to our friends in the white house is that they want to restrict our usage of encryption also.(and they want their own backdoor key) obviosly, people with different backgrounds and beliefs, are going to come together on a thread like this but there is a requirement that everybody have something in common for it to work. This thread was (and should be) for people who have an interest in what Tim has to say. You don't have to drink the Kool Aid if you don't want to but if you're not interested in listening in what Tim has to say you should get the h*ll out. If jas spent half as much time working as he does bashing Tim he could afford to move up to a manufactured home with a nice aluminum awning to cover his bike. Happy trading, Brian
