Biotech companies have a large number of new products in the pipeline, more than the traditional drug companies.

In recent years the index funds are gaining popularity for both taxable and retirement accounts. In the old dates, for each new dollar invested in the index funds, only 5 cents went to tech stocks. Now 30 cents go to tech stocks. This will help to drive tech stocks higher.
