"A positive "preannoucement" of sorts on a Friday afternoon? These people just don't grasp that the price of the stock is important to the future of the company."

Hi Eric- I agree that the public relations dept. of Excite@Home has a lot to be desired. ATHM has difficulty capitalizing on its strengths.

In the so called pre-announcement, Jermoluk made it clear that ATHM has hit its numbers. That much we can take to the bank. But beyond that, it is anyone's guess. Personally, if I were TJ, I would not have said a thing if the outcome were going to be $0.00 or $0.01. Unless he just stated that we were inline with estimates. While that certainly would have been good news, it wasn't worth getting people all excited. I am hearing predictions of up to $0.05 from ATHM investors on boards all over the Net. T.J.'s few words are causing irrational exuberance. I believe there will be some disappointed investors. I don't see us in that range at all, and predict the $0.01. I will be pleased with a penny profit, BTW. The stock will do well on that news. What if we should hit $0.02 or higher? The stock will soar, and we will end this 30s crap. Then again, I forget we are the Charlie Brown and Rodney Dangerfield of Internet stocks. Having that label, anything can happen.
