Rambus Inc. has offered Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. Ltd. special warrants to purchase an additional 30,000 shares of Rambus at $10 a piece if Hyundai ships 10 million DRAMs based on Direct Rambus technology.

Hyundai already has warrants to buy 25,000 shares at the $10 price, a privilege that was transferred to the company when it acquired LG Semicon Co. Ltd. last year.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. reportedly also has warrants to purchase Rambus stock at the heavily discounted price. Intel Corp., too, has warrants to buy 1 million shares, but hasn't yet achieved the milestones that would allow it to exercise its purchase rights, according to Rambus officials.

So, RAMBUS is basically offering about an additional $0.50 a piece to Hyundai to get the 10Million DRD DRAMS!
