A threat may be significant political weights, even if it is 'unrealistic'; and even the more if backed up by one that does not get so much Western publicity, but is more realistic (CHEKA). What do you think of latest Russian announcements that their strategy to take Grozny would 'fundamentally change in their nature very soon' (cited from memory only, sorry). Declaration of military bankruptcy? Or more playing with the nuclear threat? Regards MNI.
