A couple of interesting clips from that article. I think Armstrong actually likes Excite despite all the "no content" verbage.

We have some investments that have not realized the potential that we think they have. Take Worldnet, take Web site hosting, take Excite, as three. We believe that there's a lot of potential with those businesses through additional investment, through new relationships with others, so we really can create a much higher level of growth and a much bigger critical mass.

This one is pretty stunning to me. Armstrong wants to be CEO of Excite! I wonder if this is where the rumor started...

Q. If you had to go run one other company right now, what would it be?
A. Well, let's see. I think that either Excite or Yahoo has got to be a lot of fun to be in and a part of today because they are moving so fast and doing so much and redefining themselves every day.
