Since we're on the retail subject, have you noticed how dependent the cashier is on the register for the change to be returned? Give her/him extra change to minimize coins to be returned to you and many of them are confused as hell.

Good to see you at the porch.

Well, it happens in big stores too!
We bought a large ticket item from Sears the other day, it took almost 1/2 hr to get someone to answer a question. We asked...is this in stock? He said he would check on it. We waited... and the salesperson came back onto the floor, and completely ignored us! We finally just went to a register and said, we want to buy that...and pointed to the item. Next 10 minutes, the two clerks argued whether it was in stock or not. One says it says it's out of stock, other says, no...I saw one in stock. We bought it, and waited 20 minutes in their automated pickup....clerk says the item is in the auto garage building, but wait, the guy is coming here. Another 15 minutes passes and my 2 year old is getting VERY antsy...so we drive over to the auto center, where some grumpy old man who obviously doesn't want to be there...takes the receipt and disappears into the loading elevator for 10 minutes. Comes back and grunts "we aint got any of this."
We grab the receipt and drive back to the store and get a refund from the same clerk who says..."well, I am sorry about this, it's because MORON boy here said it WAS in stock...."
Soooooo...we took the money and went elsewhere.
Man....should the slogan be "Come see the STUPID side of Sears?"
