It just seems to me that they are a tempting target...The strategic blunder of 1999 that one is easy...INTEL should have taken QCOM out...ouch...this was like IBM not buying out MSFT early on.

Think about it. One of the dumbest strategic blunders of all time for INTEL not to have taken QCOM out early 1999. If you (1) believe the potential EPS for QCOM going forward on an annualized basis, (2)the fact that QCOM is for all intents and purposes an intellectual property boutique and semi-conductor chip maker, and (3)INTEL is the BABE RUTH of semi-conductors, and(4)that the shift in chips is from the PC to telecommunications (its the telephone and not the pc stupid i.e. your phone will be your PC and (5)the value of QCOM's patents this would have been a no-brainer. However the no-brainer has gotten a great deal more expensive for INTC perhaps prohibitively so. Able leader has sold a company before and I don't see why he wouldn't sell again.
