Someone just PM'ed me to ask about participating in the 50% Gains thread. Here is what I told them: "Our group - think of us as a friendly corner bar where folks drop by to hang out and chat about the stocks they like. No BS, no hype (at least not from the regulars), lots of good stock ideas and a great sense of humor. I like to define the 50% Gains thread in terms of what we are not. We are not in your face "we are the greatest" braggarts; we are not aimless chit-chatters that generate 150 messages saying nothing; we are not penny stock lovers touting stocks that only cost .05 cents; and we are not so full of ourselves that we can't admit a mistake when we make one. Which we do on a regular basis. We welcome stock picks and comments about companies that you like, or companies you think might be worth looking at. Tell us what tickled your fancy and why. Or ask questions about what you don't understand. I have no clue about biotechs and semiconductors but I rely on my friends to get me into profitable plays. Most of all, just hang out and enjoy yourself. If anyone gives you a hard time, I will personally tear them a new one. Just kidding. Or maybe not. Anyway, the floor is open for suggestions.
