Just make it up as you go pAUl, whatever floats your boat.

Have you seen Jerry's new Gateway limo?

Make it so,

Re: Everyone else seems to just be playing the short term options game ...

Hey Bud,

I've been buy and hold since end of July - don't generalize so much.

Since AMD will be at $280 by the end of this year, I'd be nuts to sell any now.

Dan

<You AMDroids are pushing it UP - so I'm just making more and more dough !>

I presume you are looking at mirror, narcisstically I might add, while you make that statement. Well done!

<By the way - why was I the only one who posted that I BOUGHT more AMD at $29 7/16 after the November news?>

If you are referring to the buying after the analyst meeting, I may have been the first person to post that day indicating that I have added to my AMD position by putting in an order during the halt. I have bought more stock since then in the 25-27 region and considerably long.

And I plan to hold my AMD shares for at least a few more quarters and possibly into 2001 depending on how I feel about Dreseden and Wilamtte.

<Everyone else seems to just be playing the short term options game - as if they too know that AMD is not for SERIOUS INVESTORS !>

Cut the crap, will ya? You go around preaching people how bad an investment AMD is and how you plan to sell it at 30 and buy more at 25+. Then you tell people you will sell before Q4 earnings and ask them to do the same. Now you rationalize your holding on to AMD by saying everyone else is in the same boat.

AMD will be a good investment at least until Intel gets a competitive core into production.

How about admitting you are wrong and being honest with the thread for a change?

Paul, Re: Everyone else seems to just be playing the short term options game - as if they too know that AMD is not for SERIOUS INVESTORS !

Remind me about Jimmy who sold his large portfolio of INTC at 76 and sat in cash ! I have asked him repeatedly why didn't he switch all of them to AMD(I believe AMD was 20).

Seems that he missed both :-(
