A retrofit CMOS digital film cartridge?

Here are a couple of disadvantages that I see to the (e)film approach:

- you can't view on-camera since SLRs aren't designed for that, must connect to PC.
- at below $699 according to the f.a.q., the cost of the EFS-1 system seems high; you can buy a megapixel digital camera for that (resolution of Silicon Film's (e)film is 1280 x 1024 pixels).

Hey Will L,
Lots of interest in IRSN today. On their site there is an old interview with the CEO by Wall Street Transcript. In it he says that the first target for the EFS is the professional. Then after some cost reduction they would take a stab at the mainstream.

Did you pick up any IRSN?
