I wish someone would sell an inexpensive optical splitter for the home. Do you have any idea how much these things cost? I have a satellite receiver and a DVD, both of which have optical outputs for Dolby Digital, but my stereo receiver only has one optical input, so I have to choose which one to drive optically and which one to drive with coaxial. I searched everywhere and there are no consumer optical splitters available, you have to go to a specialty house and pay as much as the DVD is worth or more. I realize JDSU is not into the consumer market, but I think eventually that will be one huge market, with most coax A/V cables going either wireless or optical, or a hybrid combination of both.
