Went to work for McDermott as accting manager. Met my hubby there. What a time! Dubai was growing, disco in full bloom.<g> We still have many friends that we met there and keep in touch with. One of my favorite places to eat at that time was the Sharjah airport restaurant!<VBG> A chicken dish with some kind of green vegie called munoukhieh (sp?) was a must-eat. Our favorite hang-outs were the Sharjah Carlton Hotel's nightclub called Beachcomber. Is it still there? Also a club called The Coins. The owner is/was Lebaneze and a friend of ours. Of course, this was all a long time ago. We went to Lebanon two years ago (hubby is from there) and sure wanted to go over to Dubai but had time constraints. We will go back again for a visit one day.
