Hi August, Haven't heard from you in awhile so I decided to see if you're still around. How's your garden doing? We had a very slow spring...late snows and then a lot of dull, grey weather. But the sun is shining and the temperatures are in the high 80s this week, so things are just shooting ahead. I didn't start too many different plants this year. I guess the "new" stuff is a tomato called "Husky Gold" which is supposed to be a large orangey-red tomato. Also decided to start Globe Artichokes in small individual pots a few weeks ago. They are coming along pretty nicely and I'll be transplanting them in another week or two. I've saw them growing in someone's garden up near here a couple of years ago, so I thought I'd give them a try. Still haven't got flowers on the apple and cherry trees... really slow, but probably just as well because the weather was so unpredictable until the last little while. BTW, seem to have had a lot of damage to the roses this winter... not enough snow cover (almost none until February), so the cold January temperatures did a lot of damage...not just to the roses either... don't think we've got much lavender or sage left... bummer... Well, drop by and give a report sometime if you're happening on by sometime... take care, croc
