Glenn, seriously, did they make off with all your jewelry? Did insurance cover all your losses? Feel free to pm if you prefer.

In today's world, I suppose a small business owner must be thankful for your record. Sad state of affairs....

More thoughts on owning guns...

>I suspect they would have shot me had I had a gun.<

Recently in the East Bay a home invasion robbery triggered a gun battle between two intruders, and a local physician. The doctor's brother, nanny, wife (also a physician), and the doctor were all shot. The doctor shot and killed one of the intruders before he was shot and killed. (All of the others involved in this incident are recovering.) The couple's two young children escaped unharmed and ran to a neighbors home.
There has been much speculation about why this doctor was targeted, but some have speculated that if the doctor had not appeared with a gun, maybe no one would have died. This doctor collected guns, and had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
I would think that anyone with small children at home would need to carefully weigh the benefits and risks of having guns in their home.
