You're way ahead of me on your legal reading. I guess I'll just say that it wouldn't be fair to only have conservatives making laws--one or two liberal socialist types will add flavour to the soup.

Maybe his appointment will help Microsoft make the right decision to settle in negotiations.

While we're at it, did you have any opinions on the Caldera settlement? Given all the stuff already published, what exactly was Microsoft afraid of?

Jerry, not to belabor this or anything, but by most conventional political measures, libertarians are sort of on the fringe. Why, exactly, should Lessig share your devotion to Hayek?

Sorry, just another boring message here, it sort of seems we should discuss AOL/TW, which still seems to be getting a ton of press. Nah, other places for that, maybe it's time for this thread to die, let it r.i.p. like Netscape.
