Pravin - <A tiny underdog does not usually start wars. They do what they have to do to survive.>

SO Intel is not allowed to do the same, i.e., maintain the market share it has built with competitive pricing?

PB, for the record this tactic of cutting prices in half will backfire on Intel and they will not accomplish what they set out to do. I am fully confident AMD will overcome Intel's latest attempt to crush them.

Having said that as a caveat, you honestly can post and try to convince us that cutting prices in half is being competitive. There is nothing competitive about it.

The only reason its happening is that Intel is sitting on a war chest of $11 bil. I guarantee you without the $11 bil they would not being do this.

But like I said, this latest play will not work. Its this kind of tactics that have led to Intel's miscues for the past 10 months and they will lead to more. And it only makes Intel look more like a chipzilla, definitely not a desirable image.
