t2...don't you think that someone sooner or later is going to have monopolistic thoughts of what JSDU is doing?

Agreed, ORTL sounds logical, but...

Sorry to hear that. I wish you could own both. You are forgetting a few of things:

1) JDSU deal has NO collars. If JDSU moved up, the price of the deal for ETEK moves up too. Obviously the reverse it also true. However do you see JDSU moving down agressively? I don't either. That's why you now own JDSU.

2) The premium is very sweet. The morning fear made it about 30 points, and it's now 26. I've already "virtually" obtained 4 free points as people warm to this deal by bidding up ETEK faster than JDSU.

3) Your comments about win/win are great. Until the powers-that-be decide if they can do this or not, they implement a sharing solution to partially solve their mutual problems of capacity. ON CNBC this morning, they even said that this was the motivator for the deal.

Regards,

Steve

ETEK is the stock to own NOW if you at ALL think this deal goes through. It's even MORE compelling than OCLI was at it's best.
