GaN epitaxial capability I don't know about SPLI, but we do have some participation in blue lasers, with VG Semicon. Their MBE systems can be used to grow GaN layers: vgsemicon.com The V80H MBE system for GaN was introduced in 1997. That system is designed for research and prototype production, but with all the work going on in GaN, that's no small market. For production, you would have to step up to at least the V90, assuming it now has GaN capability too (?). That is described as being "well suited to full scale, high volume production of laser diodes and other opto-electronic device structures." WT
