I've posted the papers written by Denton for the CRTC here in the ATHM thread (do a search for curse words and Denton, and you'll come across AHhaha's comments on same),

Sorry, Frank, but after printing out Denton's paper and reading it I'm inclined to think AH's four letter assessment of Denton was right on the money.

The part I found the most offensive was that he tried to make it look like a serious study (instead of an editorial whine) by including those ridiculous tables. I can picture him now sitting around his office, making up stuff as he goes along...."Here, quick, everybody I have an empty box on this table, give me another type of ISP to put in there." What a clown.

Has the industry had a chance to sort those issues out for itself?

Funny you should ask. You might remember about a month ago I posted an article saying that "... term sheets that spell out pricing and technical set-up were sent to those who had expressed interest in dealing with Rogers."

After being a little pre-occupied with other matters and 5 different emails and 3 phone calls starting with the reporter who wrote the story, I think I may of found the gate keeper at Rogers. I sent my final email (i hope) this morning requesting the term sheets. If I get them I will post them on my webspace. Failing that I asked her to answer a few simple questions.

If it turns out she will only answer questions (and she is the right person), I will PM you her email address as you could have a more technical conversation with her.

With the run around I'm getting, I wonder if these sheets exist. The reporter did not see them.

Would you care to present a comparison of how you see the two sides of the border differing in their approaches to cable regs, with a special focus on how they relate to competition and OA?

Having grown up with free health care and now being taxed (pension and umemployment) at around 44% (the highest bracket in Canada.. thank you very much hehe or is that boo hoo), I feel I can adequately speak on Canada. I will take a stab at south of the border too, however... its time for bed. More on Friday I think (a day off!)

Regards
Jay
