David,

The ESAF software is included as standard in the Novell software...it says so in the press release...where do you find ambiguity here:

components of the SAF module will be included as standard
features in both the NMAS Starter Pack, available now, and the Enterprise Edition, expected to be available in March.
SAFLINK and Novell will be demonstrating the new software this week at the RSA Conference in San Jose.

The initial release of the SAF Module for NMAS will support a choice of fingerprint imaging, voice authentication, or facial recognition as qualified methods for NMAS. Additional biometric technologies are planned for availability later this quarter.

Server and license management components of the SAF module are packaged by Novell and include five free user licenses for evaluation by potential customers. To activate the free licenses, NMAS users simply need to download the appropriate
Biometric Service Provider (BSP) module from the SAFLINK web site (www.saflink.com) and, if necessary, install the
complementary hardware.

What is included specifically? Well...it looks like finger, face and voice support...but as we know ESAF supports a lot more technologies that it hasn't qualified yet for this product. OBVIOUSLY what is included is not idx anything because if you read the last paragraph I quoted: all you need to do to activate the product is buy the BSP and...if necessary....hardware from ESAF. (and more seat licenses if necessary) As you know...or should know...that means the algo and hardware.

Regards,
Bob

Cross Match

David,

Here is the Cross Match live scan machine....they have now announced it twice.

Looks like one of my old tool boxes.

crossmatch.net

Says it is upgraded to 1000 dpi. Specs are there...so perhaps you can let us know how this stacks up to the TP600.

I don't want to speak too soon....but the next Del-Secure may be waiting in the wings.
