Anyone who really thought that SCOC was a real threat - is quickly thwarted by today's announcement - regarding MetaFrame for Solaris: citrix.com I will assume there will be future products with HP-UX and IBM-AIX - however - the Solaris implementation is the most signficant. I also would like to see some Linux-based product as well. The Linux product is more interesting as their claim is that true Microsoft Windows 32-bit applications can be run from the Linux kernel. If that is truly the case - that is of signficant competition to Microsoft's Terminal Server - and the to be announced Advanced Server 2000. Either situation of course benefits Citrix.
