Yo_Glenn > If you are uncomfortable with RAMBU$ because of the above statement, you should quit following it until it meets your criteria of X NUMBER of MAJOR BROKERAGE HOUSES following it. Your life will have much less stress and so will mine.

>I will maintain my positive outlook on RAMBU$ based on what I personally know to be true, and not on any ANALyst or BROKERAGE HOUSE recommendation.

It isn't about X number it's about Who, right now Rambus is mainly followed by the IPO underwriters and few others. There are few companies out there with a smaller following. It isn't that they have overlooked the HUGE??? potential of Rambus, it is more likely they doubt it. Yes some brokerage are better than others, but they all like to make money, and most do pretty well in this present MANIA.

Since I have had long term and close relationship with the Brokerage industry and research analysts, I have more faith/respect in what they say, than what the company might say. The fact they might not be as bullish or bearish about Rambus doesn't bother me, but the fact they don't even bother to follow it does.

What G.S. MER., Paine Webber,DLJ, Salom/Smith Barney have to say about the prospects of Rambus means more to ME than does our Newsletter writer bull, EVEN HQ has dropped Rambus??

"To put it simply: the more analysts that cover a stock (within the past 90 days), the more clients that will follow their recommendations. The more clients in any single stock, the more money fueling that issue's advance."

I also noticed that Rambus failed to make any of the great prospect lists for 2000, so often touted around these parts last year?

Even some of the biggest Bull ranters from last year have dumped and run from Rambus without even saying "oops! I might have made a mistake."

Glenn, day one of the battle of the $80 is marked in favor of RMBS. While it had a "severe" excursion under $80, it closed above it, two more such wins, and I may jump back in (prematurely, probably...). The odds, however, are that today's excursion to $78 is just a prelude to revisiting the sub $70 area, IMHO.
